INSM-Schiffstour: Konfrontation auf hoher Spree
Die INSM-Kreuzfahrt für bessere Beschäftigungschancen animierte den Deutschen Gewerkschaftsbund seinerseits zu einer maritimen Demonstration. Am Tag 2 der INSM-Aktion kam es zur Konfrontation auf hoher Spree. Der vom DGB gecharterte Dampfer „Luna“ mit einem Transparent „Deutschland braucht den Mindestlohn“ kreuzte den Weg der von der INSM gebuchten „Spree Comtess“. Das Nachrichtenmagazin Focus animierte diese Begegnung in seiner Ausgabe vom 21. Juli zu folgenden Zeilen:
„Die Berliner Schlacht um den Mindestlohn schlug auch auf der Spree Wellen. Als der DGB spitzkriegte, dass die Initiative Neue Soziale Marktwirtschaft ein Schiff für Diskussionsveranstaltungen gechartert hatte, kreuzte er mit eigenem Durchhaltedampfer in feindlichem Gewässer auf. An Bord: hochrangiges Propagandapersonal der SPD. Lässig lehnte Bundesarbeitsminister Olaf Scholz an der Heckreling und hielt einen Kaffeebecher mit Mindestlohn-Werbung in die Kameras. Im Unterdeck gab SPD-Vize Andrea Nahles Interviews zum selben Thema. Von Bord ging die Parteilinke mit dem Ruf: ‚Der Kampf geht weiter!‘ Vor allem der Krampf geht weiter, so Focus. Die Initiative Neue Soziale Marktwirtschaft wird die Debatte um den Einstieg in Arbeit und neue Chancen für alle weiterhin mit konstruktiven Argumenten und Vorschlägen, mit Fakten und guten Argumenten begleiten.

INSM Boat Tour: Confrontation on the High Spree
The INSM cruise for better employment opportunities encouraged the Confederation of German Trade Unions (DGB) to mount a maritime demonstration of its own. On Day 2 of the INSM event, a confrontation took place on the high Spree. The ship “Luna,” chartered by the DGB, with a poster reading “Germany Needs a Minimum Wage,” crossed paths with the “Spree Comtess,” booked by the INSM. The meeting encouraged the news magazine Focus to write the following in its July 21 issue:
“The Berlin battle over the minimum wage made waves even on the Spree. When the DGB got wind that the Initiative for a New Social Market Economy had chartered a ship for debate events, it showed up in enemy waters with its own pace-keeping boat. On board were high-ranking SPD propaganda personnel. Federal Minister of Labor Olaf Scholz kept a casual hand on the railing and held up a coffee mug with a minimum wage ad for the cameras. Below decks, SPD vice president Andrea Nahles gave interviews on the same subject. The party leftists disembarked with the cry “The fight goes on!” According to Focus, it’s more like the convulsions go on. The Initiative for a New Social Market Economy will continue to conduct the debate on access to labor and new opportunities for all with constructive arguments and proposals, facts and solid arguments.
